National Interagency Fire Center reports on active wildfires nationwide forcing evacuations, arsonist arrested.
California’s Park Fire has destroyed over 130 structures and threatens thousands more and evacuations have been ordered across at least four counties. The state’s largest active wildfire, which has burned 368,000 acres, was started by an arsonist who pushed a burning car into a gully in Chico last week. He was arrested and is being held without bond. Fire officials have compared its intensity to the catastrophic 2018 Camp Fire.
The National Interagency Fire Center has reported over 110 active fires are burning in the U.S., covering 2,800 square miles. According to the National Wildland Fire Situation Report last week, more than 3,700 wildfires in Canada have burned 8,000 square miles.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the firefighters who are endeavoring to contain the massive wildfire.
- For U.S. fire officials to be discerning in their mitigation efforts.
- For the court officials as they prepare the case against the arsonist.
- For the hearts of the American people to turn to the Lord, so they choose life instead of being destructive.
